Private Personal Training (PPT) provides you with an opportunity to exercise with a qualified fitness professional that sincerely cares about helping you reach new heights in fitness.Our trainers are qualified to coach you to your specific goals including:

Personal Training for One

  • Single Session

          60-minute session: Member $55 / Program Member $65*
          30-minute session: Member $30 / Program Member $45*

          *Must purchase an annual program membership

Private Personal Training for Two


Have a friend, spouse or partner you would like to share personal training sessions with? Two people can train with a personal trainer for one hour, allowing the individualized programming and continual monitoring and feedback of one-on-one training, but at a reduced cost per participant.     * Both clients must be Embarcadero YMCA facility members

KINESIS Movement Training


KINESIS is a full-body conditioning system that trains movement, not just muscles, through balance, core conditioning and strength. It is offered as a small-group training.
EQUIPMENT: The Kinesis wall is constructed of four panels with smooth-action cables, easy-grip handles, and 360 degree pivoting pulleys that allow movements to be easy, natural and without restrictions.

  • Benefits:
    -  Get supervised, personal guidance and a progressive system by a specially trained Kinesis instructor for less than the cost of a personal trainer.
    -  Maximize your training time in an 30-minute intense workout with special, sequenced machines; no downtime between exercises.
    -  Build a support network for your fitness goals: meet and work out with a small group of other members.

30-minute sessions Monday through Thursday starting at 7 a.m., Noon, and 6 p.m. Saturdays at 10 a.m.

Exercise Made for People with Disabilities


Join us for group exercise classes like wheelchair rugby or for personalized exercise programs in a gruop setting. This program helps members achieve optimal levels of strength, fitness and physical skill with the goal of returning to work or school or simply to live healthier, more fully integrated lives. Program fee* covers one month of group workouts with Nils Jorgensen, Recreational Therapist. Individuals may begin the program at any time. Boxing Basics


Learn proper boxing stances and sparring techniques, and how to bob, weave, and throw a punch! This class is designed to teach the basics of boxing, bringing you a greater understanding of the sport, while also giving you a great workout. Taught by Tony Manzi.
