Class
Descriptions
Body Shop
A non-aerobic body conditioning class designed to strengthen and
tone the major muscle groups primarily using freeweights.
Cardio Kickboxing
Exhilarating high-intensity class incorporating boxing punches, kicks, and cardio drills. Great for improving endurance, strength, and agility.
Cycle
Intense class simulates an outdoor ride with sprints, hills and drills. Intermediate to Advanced fitness level.
Cycle & Sculpt
30-minute cycle class follwed by a 30-minute upper body workout.
Cycle & Abs
40-minute cycle class followed by an intense workout for abs, oblizues, and lower back.
Interval Training
Combination of weights, cardio, plyometrics, and stretch.
NIA
Low-impact class combines dance, martial arts, tai chi, and traditional movement for a union of mind and body. Suitable for most exercisers.
Pilates
Strengthens and tones the body through specialized exercises that
emphasize correct alignment and technique.
Power Stretch
30-minute class is designed to improve flexibility and ease of movement. Includes Yoga postures along with athletic stretches.
Step Aerobics
Cardiovascular workout, which involves stepping on and off an
adjustable platform.
Tai Chi
An ancient Chinese moving meditation to improve balance, flexibility and cardiovasuclar function.
Total Tone
A non-aerobic body conditioning class designed to strengthen muscles using free weights. This class trains one muscle group at a time.
Yoga
Promotes strength through flexibility and emphasizes the union of
mind and body. Style of Yoga varies with each instructor.
Level 1- Beginner or fairly new to Yoga. Learn proper poses, alignment and
breathing techniques.
Level 2- For those with good understanding of Yoga, with at least one year of
practice.
Yoga to the Core
Combines yoga and strength-training, as well as flexibility. This is a Yoga II, intermediate class.
