MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
Welcome to the Presidio Community YMCA! We are dedicated to our mission to build strong kids, strong families, and strong communities. We provide innovative programs and services in a safe and enriching environment where all are welcome. As a team of staff and volunteers, we model and promote a healthy Spirit, Mind, and Body.
As a member of the Presidio Community YMCA, you will have access to a variety of programs, facilities and activities for people of all ages. A Full Facility membership includes use of the fitness center and facilities, group exercise classes, pool, basketball gymnasium and tennis courts. Six tennis courts are located throughout the Presidio Park, call to reserve court times.
We make it easy to join the YMCA, with no joining fee and financial assistance available for those who qualify.

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES
All Membership Categories, at the start of the membership, are charged a one-time $25 administrative fee.

Adult Full Facility Membership
Membership includes one adult, 25 years and older, and any children, ages 12 and younger, living in the same household.
Monthly fee: $60
Teen add-on (13-17 yrs) $10
Kids 12 and younger Free
Household Membership
Membership includes two adults and any children, ages 12 and younger, living in the same household.
Monthly fee: $95
Teen add-on (13-17yrs) $10
Kids 12 and younger Free
Young Adult Membership
Membership includes one adult, 18-24 years old.
Monthly fee: $45
Senior Facility Membership
Membership includes one adult age 62 and older.
Monthly fee: $45
Teen Membership
Membership includes one teen 13 - 17 years old.
We require that all teens attend a Fitness Consultation before using the fitness center facilities. Please contact Membership Services at 415.447.9622 to schedule an appointment.
Note: Parent/Guardian must sign Release of Liability Waiver when establishing membership.

San Francisco Area Membership (SAM)
A SAM membership allows you to visit San Francisco YMCA's at no extra charge. You receive the benefits of a Facility Membership at the Presidio YMCA, as well as membership privileges at any of the YMCA of San Francisco's 10 branch facility locations.
Monthly fee: $75 (Adult); $125* (Family)
*includes children 17 and younger
Bay Area Membership (BAM)
A Bay Area Membership allows you to visit any Bay Area YMCAs at no extra charge. You receive the benefits of a Facility Membership, plus the freedom to go to any YMCA facility on our list of Bay Area YMCA locations.
Bay area joining fee: $99
Monthly fee: $76 (Adult); $126* (Family)
*includes children 17 and younger
Program Membership
A Program Membership is required for non-members to participate in Presidio YMCA programs. This allows participants to register for programs. This fee is in addition to the specific program fee for any youth or adult program (tennis, triathlon or running club). This membership does not entitle use of workout facilities, including the pool, gymnasiums, fitness equipment, tennis and squash courts, or group exercise classes.
Yearly rate: $50 (Adult or Youth); $75* (Family)

Guest Policy
All Presidio YMCA members will receive "virtual" guest passes allotted per membership as follows:
Family Facility, SAM,& BAM Members 8 Passes/Year
Adult, Family, SAM & BAM Members 6 Passes/Year
Senior Facility Members 6 Passes/Year
Teen Facility Members 2 Passes/Year
Members are required to accompany their guest upon check-in at the membership desk for entry. After allotted guest passes are used, any additional guests will need to pay the $12.00 Day Pass Fee.
Guest & Day Pass Fees:
Guest Passes issued per membership: No cost
Visiting member of another YMCA: $3.00
Non-member Day Pass: $15.00 (beginning Oct. 1, 2008)

Payment
Payment via checking account or credit card is an easy way to join the YMCA and divide the annual fee into manageable monthly payments. Your account Will be automatically debited on the 5th or the 20th of each month. A $15.00 Service charge applies to returned drafts, and a minimum 30 day written notice is required to stop the bank draft.
Membership dues may be paid in full either six or twelve months in advance. Payments can be made by cash, check, Visa or Mastercard.
Financial Assistance
Financial Assistance, to the extent possible, is made available through the generosity of our members and donors. Please inquire at the member service desk for an application.
Cancellation
You may terminate your membership with a 30 day written notice and the return of your membership card. A temporary card will be issued for the remainder of the month. For annual memberships, any remaining months will be refunded. All joining fees are non refundable after the first 30 days of membership.
You may choose one of three ways to cancel your membership:
(1) Come directly into the facility and submit a cancellation form with a front desk staff member.
(2) Mail a detailed letter including name, address, and phone number to the Presidio YMCA, Attention Membership.
(3) Email membership at pmembers@ymcasf.org and include name, address and phone number.
Refunds
If you withdraw from a program within 48 hours before the first class, a full refund credit will be issued. The program membership fee is non refundable unless the YMCA cancels the first program or class for which you registered. The Presidio Community YMCA is not responsible for prior months of unused membership. It is the Member's responsibility to give the Presidio YMCA 30 days written notice to cancel or change their membership and/or stop their bank draft. Annual members will be refunded the remaining portion of their membership. Past months membership dues are non refundable. Memberships are not transferable between parties.
Membership I.D. Cards
It is mandatory to bring your membership card each time you come to the facility. If you forget your card, you must have a valid picture I.D.

Locker Service
The Presidio Community YMCA offers day lockers for all members - Lockers are not provided for overnight use. Small dime lockers are available for valuables such as wallets, keys, etc.
Letterman Pool has rental lockers available in the Family Changing Room. Contact the Letterman Pool for current availability.

Childwatch
The Presidio Community YMCA Childwatch center is a stimulating, fun, and safe environment for children ages 3 months to 8 years old.
 
Participants play while parents enjoy YMCA programs, services and facilities. Our creative, attentive staff interacts with the children in a wide variety of activities to enhance imagination, tactile senses and motor skills.
Low staff ratios and separate infant areas ensure child safety and enjoyment. Our caring and consistent staff are CPR and First Aid certified, experienced and qualified in child care, and most importantly – love working with children.
Childwatch is available throughout the week for a nominal hourly fee:
- $2.50 - 30minutes
- $5.00 - 1hour
Reservations are required to ensure staff ratios.
